Hi! Hola! Sup!

I’m Raven but you can call me Rae! Shawnda and I met in 2012, where I was at one of my lowest points in life. This is where I first heard the phrase Breathe & Maintain. This has become a staple for Shawnda and I.

So! Let’s talk more about me! My friends call me Rae, I’m 26, single and work in corporate healthcare, loving Jesus and Living in Nashville, TN. I’m an avid digester of donuts, broccoli, and Asian cuisine (it’s my jam).

I’m a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University, with a degree in Journalism, with a concentration in public Relations (Go Raiders!).

Here you’ll read about my love for travel, shoes, Jesus, and me making my way through this journey called life.  I can’t wait to share with you.

How it all began

Shawnda and I met in 2012 in a theatre class! Mid-semester I got sick and that’s where things in my life began to spiral. Shawnda shared the phrase “Breathe and Maintain” with me and well it stuck. It became our go to, our band-aid for hard times, and man were there hard times.

In October of 2018, the Lord was pressing heavy on my heart. It was my last fall semester and my journey with the lord was complex, as was my life. He had been telling me for months what to do and I of course was choosing to ignore him. Then one day he made me listen, I broke down in my car and remembered who he was and who he was to me. I remembered that I needed to breathe and maintain.

That provoked me calling Shawnda and telling her of this idea I had and well, the rest is history.

I hope you’ll journey along with us. Please know we aren’t perfect, certainly not worthy of Gods unwavering love but we’re trying, and we want you to know that we’re right here with you.

Just remember, to breathe + maintain.
